Apeejay College of Fine Arts Shines at National Youth Festival 2025

Jalandhar March 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, have once again brought pride to their institution by delivering an outstanding performance at the National Youth Festival 2025. Representing Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, the college played a pivotal role in securing the First Runners-Up Trophy for the university.

Organized under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) at Amity University, Noida, from March 3rd to March 7th, the festival witnessed the participation of 2,500 students from 148 universities across India. GNDU’s stellar performance made them bag Overall First Runners-Up trophy along with First Runners-Up in Fine Arts, First Runners-Up in Dance, Second Runners-Up in Theatre, and Third Position in Cultural Procession.

Harsifat secured first place in Western Vocal Solo

Harsifat secured first place in Western Vocal Solo, Khushi in Classical Dance, Vishal in Mimicry, Vikas Kalotra in Rangoli, and Ankush, SanyamArora, Harsh, Vishal, Saurav Paul, and Daksh Sharma in Mime. Harsifat Kaur, Jasleen Kaur, Anjali Bhagat, Sukhmani Arora, Anmol Preet, and Ghazal won second place in Western Group Song, Sahil in Classical Instrumental – Percussion, and Yash in Clay Modeling. Gargi, Nisha, Lavisha, Vrinda, Palvinder, Himani, Bhoomi, and Diya secured third place in Folk Dance.

Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal, expressed her gratitude to Prof. Dr. Karamjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, GNDU, and Dr. Amandeep Singh, Incharge, Youth Welfare Department, for providing this golden opportunity to the students. Congratulating the winners, she remarked, “We are immensely proud of our students. Their dedication and perseverance have led to this remarkable achievement, and we look forward to seeing them scale even greater heights.”

She also appreciated the relentless efforts of Dr. Arun Mishra, Cultural Coordinator, Dr. Amita Mishra, Youth Welfare Dean, and Dr. Micky Verma, who worked tirelessly to guide the students and help them achieve this success.

It is worth mentioning that Apeejay College of Fine Arts continues to set new benchmarks in cultural excellence, reinforcing its reputation as a powerhouse of talent and creativity on the national stage.
