Jalandhar September 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The MAC Forum of P.G. Department of Commerce of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized Ad Mad Show. The event ran for 3 days beginning with a teaser reel on Instagram, Publicity Campaign and Ad Mad show.

The Ad Mad Show began with an Introduction by Archa (BBA Sem 5th) where she put forth the motto of this event and also expressed her gratitude to her teachers for providing them this opportunity to explore into the world of advertisement and understanding the essentials of this industry.

Dr. NeerjaDhingra (Principal, ACFA) was the Chief Guest of the day and she was received warmly with a bouquet by Dr. Monika Mogal (HOD, Commerce) and other faculty members of Department of Commerce.

Expressing her views on Ad Mad show, Dr. Dhingra said, ” The advertisement industry is one of the important industries out there and one can find various business and work opportunities there. At ACFA, we give our students such platforms so that they can have an exposure and indulge in brain storming in this context. These opportunities have potential to carve a long and successful path for the students.”

On this occasion, badges were given to the core members of the MAC Forum

On this occasion, badges were given to the core members of the MAC Forum with different designations with the motive to make them responsible and handle some duties and roles and also have the taste of leadership and discipline. Archa (BBA Sem 5) and Sanya (B.Com Sem 5) were appointed as President and Vice President respectively.

In the Ad Mad Show, the students of BBA and B.Com of all the years participated with much enthusiasm and joy. The students of different classes had formed the groups and each had found one product they wanted to advertise. Using different elements like – music, props, characters, dialogues etc. , the students created an ad of 2- 3 minutes. The different products and the title of their teams were – ChamatkariChuran, Chikna Charm, Glow X, Sensation, Baal Vardaan, Preeto Virus, Venom Venture, Tehlka Ltd.

All the acts had an element of humour in them and were much appreciated by the audience.

All the students were awarded with certificates for their excellent performances by Dr. NeerjaDhingra (Principal, ACFA), Dr. Monika Mogla (HOD, Commerce) and Ms. GarimaArora (Dean, MAC Forum).

In Teaser competition, Glow X (Students of BBA Sem 3rd) won the first position. In Publicity Campaign, Tehlka Ltd (B.Com.Sem 1 Sec A), Chikna Charm (BBA Sem-I) and ChamatkariChuran (B.Com. Sem 3rd Sec A) bagged top 3 positions respectively.

On the final day during Ad Mad Show of which the judges were Dr. Manisha, Dr. Vandana and Mr. Amandeep, Venom Ventures (B.Com. Sem1 SecB), Chikna Charm (BBA Sem 1 Sec A) and ChamatkariChuran (B.Com. Sem 3 Sec A) bagged top 3 positions and Tehlka Ltd (B.Com. Sem 1 Sec A) and Baal Vardaan (B.Com. Sem 3 Sec. B) got the Consolation prizes.

Dr. Dhingra acknowledged the efforts of Department of Commerce for guiding the students and organizing the entire event.
