Jalandhar August 30 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar is known for providing quality education to its students. In order to give exposure to its students, it ensures providing multiple platforms to its students which sensitize with them novel things around the globe and also make them alert and aware about their surroundings.
Recently, a guest lecture was organized by the NCC wing of the college to teach the students about the importance and significance of NCC. Colonel Vinod Joshi (Commanding Officer, 2 Punjab, NCC Battalion) was present as the Resource Person for this lecture who interacted with the young brigade of Apeejay.
It is worth mentioning that Col. Joshi has pursued his career in army for three decades where he had come face to face with terrorists many times during the attacks.
While addressing the students, Colonel Joshi talked about the basic principles of NCC and how NCC nurtures one’s personality and develops a sense of discipline and leadership amongst students. He added one can also create a golden future by joining the Army and at the same time contribute in nation building.
Dr. Neerja Dhingra (Principal, ACFA) expressed her gratitude to Colonel Joshi and emphasised the importance of joining NCC to make today’s young generation aware of the importance of discipline in life. She also acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Neeraj Katyal and Ms Komal for successfully organizing the guest lecture.
