Jalandhar January 31 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- On the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, the PG Department of Computer Science & IT Forum organised 15th Tech Fest – An Inter – School Competition. Nearly 500 students from 20 different schools of Punjab participated in it where 20 types of competitions were organized – Business Plan Presentation, Play with Clay, Painting on the Spot, General Quiz Bonanza, Gaming, Picture Captioning, Poster Presentation, Photography, Gustakhi Maaf, Website Development, Programming Skills, Declamation, Poetical Recitation, Theme based Modelling, T – shirt painting, Mobile App Idea Presentation, Rangoli, Cooking, Group Dance and News Reading.
During the Inaugural Ceremony, Dr. Neerja Dhingra (Principal, ACFA) warmly welcomed Dr. Sucharita Sharma (Director, Apeejay Education) who had presided the event as a Chief Guest. In her welcome address, Dr. Neerja Dhingra put forth that that Apeejay College has completed its 5 glorious decades of quality education and is especially known for its exceptional and excellent Fine Arts’ courses.

Dr. Dhingra added that it has been the vision and foresightedness of our Founder Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul Ji, exceptional leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia (President, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group; Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University) and encouragement of Dr. Neha Berlia (Joint Secretary, Apeejay Education) that ACFA has reached at this height today and is ever ready to start a new era of learning and technology.
In the admiration of Dr. Sucharita Sharma, Dr. Dhingra put forth that she is a magnimous force who has dedicatedly put infinite efforts through out her years of service at ACFA in the growth of the college.
Dr. Sucharita Sharma ( Director, Apeejay Education) also addressed the august gathering and congratulated Madam Principal, faculty members and students of ACFA for completing 50 glorious years of quality education. Admiring Madam Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Dr. Sucharita said that with her support and guidance, during her 40 years of service at ACFA, she has learnt so much and as a consequence, she has become this authentic and best version of herself.

On this occasion, Dr. Sunit Kaur, Head, Department of English shared the distinct achievements of college and its students who have made their name in their respective fields.
During the Valedictory Ceremony, Mr. Gautam Jain (IAS), Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar was present as a Chief Guest. Also, Dr. Amandeep Singh, Incharge, Youth Festival, GNDU was present as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Neerja Dhingra warmly welcomed them for presiding the event and gracing the occasion with their presence. In his admiration, Dr. Dhingra said that our revered Chief Guest, Mr. Gautam Jain, (IAS), Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar is a young, dynamic and dedicated officer and is a distinguished administrator and a visionary leader, whose contributions to public service have been exemplary.
His dedication in creating positive change and mimproving the lives of citizens is truly inspiring. Under his able leadership, the Municipal Corporation has undertaken numerous initiatives that have transformed the urban landscape of Jalandhar, his efforts to promote sustainable development, enhance civic amenities, and ensure effective governance are indeed remarkable and noteworthy.

He also talked of the role of the college in fostering and nurturing young minds, their contribution in preserving and promoting art and congratulated the students who had participated in Tech Fest, 2025.
The students of Contemporary Form of Dance awed the audience with their energetic fusion dance.
The Championship Trophy of Tech Fest 2025 was bagged by Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg where as Swami Sant Dass Public School bagged 2nd prize and MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar bagged the 3rd position. All the winning students received the certificates and prizes.
Dr. Dhingra admired the tireless efforts of Dr. Roopali Sood, Dr. Jagmohan Mago, Ms. Pallavi Mehta and Dr. Monica Anand for successfully organizing TECH FEST, 2025.
