Jalandhar May 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar held a 3 week Certificate Course in Design your own Clothing for the students of 12th standard free of cost. The students joined these classes with great enthusiasm and learnt many things from the expert faculty of Apeejay.
In these classes, Ms Rajni Gupta and Ms Tanya from Department of Design taught the students about hand painting, block printing, tie and die and screen printing. They were taught that they can use these different ways to design T shirts, bedsheets, cushion covers, wall hangings etc. The students were made aware that they can be as creative as they want to be when it comes to fashion.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views said that since the youth is the future of the nation, it is important to guide them and these free of cost Skill Enhancement classes give them an opportunity to explore the various courses which they might pursue in the future and at the same time utilize their free time productively and these classes will certainly prove to be beneficial for them.
