Jalandhar September 4 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The NSS Wing of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, organized an Investiture Ceremony for students, where badges were awarded to those with leadership qualities. Approximately 124 NSS volunteers attended the event.
During the ceremony, Dr. Simkee Dev, Dean of the NSS Wing, delivered a presentation that highlighted the core values of NSS, the significance of its logo, and the benefits that students can gain from participating in the program. She also informed the students that there are approximately 3.9 million NSS volunteers in India, representing 0.27% of the country’s population. Additionally, a video showcasing the activities undertaken by NSS volunteers over the past year was shown to the students.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated the newly appointed core team executives, pinned their badges, and addressed the students, emphasizing that the badges symbolize great responsibility. She also wished the students a bright and successful future.
