Jalandhar May 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- A Farewell Ceremony was organized at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar where Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra was present as the Chief Guest. Diya Ahuja of B.Com. 4th semester and Diya Talwar of BFA 4th semester, the anchors of the day extended a warm welcome to Dr. Dhingra and said, ” Your positive and energetic presence has mafe this Farewell Ceremony more beautiful.”

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, while addressing the students on this occasion, expressed that this is a bittersweet moment—on one hand, there’s a sense of sadness as students leave the college, but on the other, heartfelt prayers accompany their readiness to embark on a new journey in life. She reminded the students that the opportunities provided by Apeejay College will serve as a strong foundation for their future. Dr. Dhingra added that she is confident they will attain new milestones in life and continue to bring pride to the name of Apeejay College.

On this day, a beautiful melody of songs representing friendship, love and time spent together was presented by Akshat Sharma, Harsifat Kaur, Shivam and Karanveer. Also, Kushal of BDM moved everyone with his soulful poetry and energetic Bhangra performance by students filled the auditorium with the celebratory mode.

Mehtab (BCA Semester 4), in her farewell speech to the seniors, shared that they had learned a great deal from them. She added that they would strive to imbibe the values, patience, and humility demonstrated by their seniors and would also encourage their juniors to walk the same path.

Head Boy Shivansh Dua and Head Girl Nandini Bajaj, speaking on behalf of all the outgoing students, said that the experiences and opportunities provided by the college had played a significant role in shaping their personalities. They emphasized that the trust placed in students through the delegation of responsibilities greatly contributed to the development of their leadership skills and overall growth.

After two modelling sessions, Harsifat Kaur became Miss Apeejay 2025 and Shivansh Dua became Mr. Apeejay. While Asmi was announced as Miss Elegant and Vaibhav as Mr. Handsome. The Best Dressed Award amongst boys went to Gurshaan and the Best Dressed Award amongst girls went to Harhita. The award for Best Walk amongst Girls was clinched by Ravneet and Harsimar became Apeejay Cynosure.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Programme Incharges – Dr. Payal Arora and Ms. Garima Arora crowned Miss Apeejay by adorning her with crown, sash, and presenting all the students with gifts.
