Jalandhar September 30 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, proudly hosted a Group Discussion Competition organized by the PG Department of Computer Science under the banner of the IT Forum. With the participation of 35 students, the event provided an engaging platform for young minds to exhibit their confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills. The discussions revolved around thought-provoking topics such as “Social Media – Impact on Human Psychology” and “Can AI Replace Human Intelligence”, which challenged the participants to analyze, reason, and express their perspectives effectively.
The participants impressed the esteemed panel of judges – Dr. Rupali Sood, Dr. Jagmohan Mago, and Dr. Munish Gupta – with their clarity of thought and powerful articulation.
In this competition, Mehtaab Kaur Kohli of BCA Semester V secured the first position, Tanya Anand of BCA Semester V bagged the second position, while Madhu Sudan of B.Voc (E-Commerce & Digital Marketing) Semester V achieved the third position. Consolation prizes were awarded to Yuvika of BCA Semester V and Mannat Kochar of BCA Semester III.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, appreciating the winners and participants, remarked, “At Apeejay, we believe that true learning extends beyond classrooms. Platforms like these instill not only knowledge but also the courage to voice opinions, embrace diverse perspectives, and emerge as leaders of tomorrow. The enthusiasm and intellectual vigor displayed by our students stand as a testimony to their bright future.”
She also admired the efforts of Incharges, IT Forum, Ms. Pallivi Mehta and Ms. Harpreet Kaur for successfully organizing the event.
