ACFA organized Painting Competition was organized along with District Administration and Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar

Painting Competition

Jalandhar February 7 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- A Painting Competition – manual and digital on the subject of sports, nature and art and culture of Punjab was organized at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar with the joint efforts of District Administration and Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. This competition was organized under the guidance of Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar.

Students of Department of Fine Arts, Applied Art, Design and Multimedia participated in this competition.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views on this said that our college is always at the forefront in the field of fine arts and they participate with great enthusiasm and passion and put their best foot forward.

In the manual Painting, first position was bagged by Sahil (MA – Fine Arts), second position by Natasha (MA – Fine Arts), third position by Megha Thakur (BDM) and Consolation prizes by Palak (MA – Fine Arts) and Riddhi Gupta (BFA).

In Digital Painting, Aashi Jaiswal (BFA), clinched the first position while Diya Talwar (BFA) bagged the second position and Kiran (BDM) and Mehak Gupta (BDM) grabbed the third positions.

Dr. Dhingra congratulated the students and praised the efforts of Mr. Anil Gupta (Head, Department of Applied Art), Mr. Basudev Biswas (Department of Sculpture), Dr. Rimpy Parmar (Head, Department of Fine Arts) and Dr. Jeevan Kumari for successfully organizing this competition.
