Jalandhar December 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar always organises various activities on a day-to-day basis for all-round development of the students. Keeping up with the norm, it organized FDP on India: Emerging US$ 5 Trillion Economy and its Achievements.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, expressing her views on this subject, said, ” Apeejay College being multidisciplinary, the faculty here has an expertise in various subjects. is a huge foundation stone of our college. It is our endeavor to organize FDP on every subject; so that everyone can enhance their knowledge by getting information on various subjects.

In the FDP, Dr. Supreet Talwar, Head, Department of Economics, gave her presentation where she effectively expressed that India has crossed the milestone of Rs 3.7 trillion in the year 2023.

Dr. Talwar said that India is a developing economy and it has to emerge as a developed economy soon but there are many big obstacles for India in the way of becoming a developed country like – unemployment, lack of skilled manpower in a particular sector, lack of capital formation and investment, and problem of cross country terrorism etc.

Dr. Supreet also apprised everyone about the achievements of India’s G20 which ended on November 30th 2023. She said that through the formula ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, India tried to make the whole world understand that the whole world is like one family and by coming together; we can solve problems like global warming, cross border terrorism, sustainable development.

Dr. Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Supreet Talwar in presenting the topic successfully.
