Jalandhar December 15 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar continuously strives for the development of students and faculty. In this series, a Faculty Development Programme on the topic ‘Design Thinking and Innovation in Classroom’ was organized where the Resource speaker was Dr. Ashish Arora, Head, Department of Business School, GNDU Regional Campus, Jalandhar.

In this programme, CA ShriPankaj Jindal, Chairman Bharat Vikas Parishad, Convenor Punjab Swadeshi Jagran Manch and Shri Siddharth Sharma Business Development Leader and Professional Advisor Department of Cooperation were also present.

The students need to understand the difference between raw information on the internet and knowledge

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, while expressing her views on this occasion, said that teaching is a challenging profession in the modern era because students have countless sources of information, information revolution and social media have had a deep impact on today’s young generation. In such a situation, to direct the students on the right path, as teachers we need to know about the latest trends and provide them with information and knowledge. The students need to understand the difference between raw information on the internet and knowledge.

Addressing the teachers, Dr. AshishArora said that in this contemporary era, the traditional teaching is not enough. We have to explore the creativity of the students and provide them the right direction so that they can channelise their energy in the right direction. Dr. Ashish said that when teachers adopt a positive attitude and share their thoughts and feelings with the students, the students will also share their thoughts and feelings with them.

Dr. Dhingra expressed special gratitude to Dr. Ashish Arora, CA Pankaj Jindal and Mr. Siddharth Sharma for sharing their thoughts with teachers.
