Jalandhar October 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar under the aegis of the Commerce Club, organised a “COM-QUEST 2026”.
The event provided students with a vibrant platform to showcase their creativity, knowledge, communication skills, confidence and team spirit.
The programme comprised a variety of engaging activities including Poster Making, Collage Making, Ad-Mad Show, Quiz, Role Play of Eminent Personalities and an Investiture Ceremony.
Students participated in all the activities with great enthusiasm and presented their ideas and talents with remarkable confidence.
The Role Play of Eminent Personalities was one of the major attractions, wherein students dressed up as renowned personalities and portrayed their lives and contributions creatively. The event was judged by Mrs. Manmeet Kaur, Mrs. Shveta Mahajan and Mrs. Seema Tiwari.
The Ad-Mad Show added fun and creativity to the programme, with students presenting innovative advertisements through impressive performances. It was judged by Dr. Neena Mittal and Dr. Divya Budhia.
The Quiz Competition, conducted through four exciting rounds
The Quiz Competition, conducted through four exciting rounds, tested students’ general awareness, business knowledge, presence of mind and competitive spirit. The lively participation of the teams and enthusiastic response from the audience made the quiz an engaging segment of the event.
An Investiture Ceremony was also organised, wherein student members were formally appointed to various leadership roles and teams in the Commerce Club. The following students were appointed to different positions: Gurleen as President (PG), Jasmine as President (UG), Deepanshi as Vice President (PG), Shilpa as Vice President (UG), Palak as Secretary (PG), Janvi as Secretary (UG), Yashika as Joint Secretary (PG), Nandini as Joint Secretary (UG), Anchal as Treasurer (PG), Akansha as Treasurer (UG), Tanushree as Incharge of the Creativity & Innovation Team, Vanshika as Incharge of the Cultural Activities Team, Navneet as Incharge of the Discipline Team, and Gracy as Incharge of the Hospitality Team. The ceremony provided students with an opportunity to take leadership responsibilities and contribute actively towards the activities of the Club.
The programme was graced by the esteemed Principal, Dr. Pooja Prashar, and Mrs. Rajni Kapoor, Head, PG Department of Commerce and Management, whose presence and encouragement motivated the students and added significance to the occasion.
The event was successfully coordinated by the Commerce Club under the guidance of Mrs. Shikha Puri, Dean, along with Dr. Kuljeet Kaur and other faculty members. Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and effective conduct of all the activities. The programme concluded successfully with appreciation for the collective contribution of the students, judges, faculty coordinators and all those who worked towards making the event a grand success.
