Jalandhar October 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Political Science Forum of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, organized an Inter-Class Declamation Competition to commemorate the 157th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 25 students. The competition provided students with a platform to express their views on significant themes related to Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy. The topics included “From Mohandas to Mahatma: The Life and Legacy of Gandhi Ji,” “Gandhian Principles and Modern Politics,” and “Ahimsa Paramo Dharma: A Sentiment or Need of the Hour?”
Mrs. Alka, Head of the Department of Political Science, served as the judge for the competition. Shivangi secured the first position, Sukhman Kaur Kalra bagged the second position, while Navjot Kaur and Anantika jointly secured the third position. Jahnavi was honored with the Outstanding Performance Prize for her impressive presentation. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, Mrs. Alka, and Dr. Jiwan Devi congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of all the participants. The event was coordinated by Dr. Jiwan Devi, In-charge of the Political Science Forum, with the assistance of Yogita and Drishti, members of the Forum. They also efficiently anchored the programme. The competition concluded on an inspiring note, encouraging the students to reflect upon Gandhian values and their relevance in contemporary times.
