Jalandhar September 21 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Psychology Forum and The Listening Room of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar successfully organised a string of activities to mark Suicide Prevention Week, 2026. The central theme of this year’s campaign was “Every Story Deserves a Tomorrow.” This initiative aimed to raise awareness about emotional well-being among students, encourage open dialogue on mental health issues, and provide a platform for students to express their emotions creatively.

Addressing the students on this occasion, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra stated that mental health is just as important as physical health. She said that instead of suppressing their emotions, students should speak openly about them and seek help from family, teachers, or experts when needed. She stated that every student’s story is important and that we need to create a sensitive environment where every individual feels heard, understood, and supported.
The week began with a poster-making competition. Through traditional and digital posters, students effectively portrayed themes such as hope, courage, cooperation, and a positive outlook on life.
