Lyallpur Khalsa College organizes Seminar and One Day Medical Camp for Mental & Physical Health of Students & Staff

Jalandhar September 2 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for the overall growth and development of its students and staff. Keeping this intact, the NSS unit of the college organized a seminar on Meditation and Drug Prevention and a one day Medical Camp in the campus. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu inaugurated the medical camp and addressed the gathering during the seminar where he emphasised on the fact that the developed India mission can be achieved through sound mind and physical health of youth. He urged the youth to stay away from drugs and focus on studies.

The keynote speaker B.K. Dr. Karamjeet Kaur in her emphasised on the improving lifestyle through meditation. She opined that positive thoughts bring positive energy. Second speaker B.K. Rekha motivated the youth to listen to the inner voice and make the right decision by staying away from drugs. She discussed the ways to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong. Then, the pledge of Nasha Mukt Bharat was also taken. Prof. Satpal Singh, NSS Chief Program Officer informed that the college also organized free x-ray medical camp to identify chest diseases like T.B. in which 115 students and staff got their check up done.

This medical camp was organized in collaboration with civil hospital Jalandhar under TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. NSS Program Officers Dr. Ranju Mahajan and Dr. Harshveer Arora played their role in organizing these events. These events were witnessed by BK Rakesh Kundra, BK Shivani, BK Sukhdev Singh, BK Ram Dyal, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Dr. Sarabjit Kaur and a significant number of students.
