Jalandhar July 17 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Eleven students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, were honoured with Gold Medals at the 51st Convocation of Guru Nanak Dev University. The medals were conferred by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria.
Congratulating the medal recipients, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed immense pride in their outstanding achievement. She said that this accomplishment is a matter of great honour for the institution. She added that the college continuously motivates students to strive for excellence and, apart from imparting quality theoretical education, regularly invites distinguished experts to provide practical exposure and industry-oriented learning. This holistic approach enables students to excel academically and earn prestigious honours such as Gold Medals.
The Gold Medal recipients are: Ankit Goyal (M.Design), Hitin Khurana (Master of Arts in Dance), Kanishka Kharbanda (B.Design), Ridhima Nagpal (M.A. Dance), Nandini (M.A. Fine Arts), Nandini Handa and Tarannum (Master of Fine Arts – Applied Art), Sahil Kumar (Master of Arts in Fine Arts), Kashish Mahna and Jasleen Kaur (Bachelor of Physiotherapy), and Sandeep Singh (B.A. Psychology).
Dr. Dhingra stated that these students have not only illuminated their own future through their remarkable achievements but have also brought laurels to the college and immense pride to their parents. She further shared that Mr. Ankit Goyal and Mr. Hitin Khurana are also serving as faculty members at the college.
Appreciating the dedication of the teaching fraternity, she acknowledged the invaluable guidance and continuous support provided by the faculty in shaping the academic success of the students.
