Jalandhar April 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Cosmetology of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya successfully organized a two-day workshop on Aroma Therapy and Deep Tissue Massage for its students. The workshop was conducted by expert massage therapist Ms. Jatinder, who shared her professional knowledge and hands-on techniques with the participants. The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance the practical skills of students and to provide them with industry- oriented training in holistic wellness therapies. During the session on Aroma Therapy, Ms. Jatinder explained the concept, benefits, and therapeutic uses of essential oils. She demonstrated various blending techniques, application methods, and safety precautions required while performing aroma therapy treatments.
In the Deep Tissue Massage session, students were trained in advanced massage techniques focusing on relieving muscle tension, improving blood circulation, and promoting relaxation. The expert guided students through step-by-step procedures, including pressure application, body mechanics, and client handling. Emphasis was also laid on hygiene, professional ethics, and client consultation. The workshop included practical demonstrations as well as hands-on practice, enabling students to gain confidence and refine their skills. Students actively participated and showed great enthusiasm in learning new techniques that are highly demanded in the beauty and wellness industry.
Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the efforts of the department for organizing such a skill- enhancing workshop and encouraged students to take maximum benefit from such learning opportunities. The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Mukti Arora, HOD, Cosmetology expressing gratitude to Ms. Jatinder for her valuable guidance and contribution in making the workshop informative and successful. Asst. Prof. Ms. Navjot Kaur, Ms. Shruti, Ms. Gursimar and Ms. Manveer were also present.
