Jalandhar March 2 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar provides a conducive environment and rich platforms to its students as well as teachers to participate in various teaching learning outcome based activities at state and national level. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu informed that the National Council for Teacher Education, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India has selected Professor Satpal Singh, Assistant Professor in PG department of English as a Mentor under the National Mission for Mentoring (NMM) envisioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Principal Dr. Sandhu congratulated Prof. Satpal Singh for his achievement of being selected in the strong national pool of outstanding professionals who can provide short and long term academic and professional support to school teachers across the country. He said that Prof. Satpal Singh has been selected after a 4 month long scrutiny process at national level. He added that college always extends its support to its students and teachers to apply for such programs.
Prof. Satpal Singh expressed his happiness for being onboarded in national roll out and said that he will do the best in his capacity to extend structured and professional support to the school teachers across the country through dedicated online portal. He thanked the President, College Governing Council and Principal for their unconditional support and guidance. During this event HOD Mathematics Dr. Harjit Singh and IQAC Convener Prof. Hari Om Verma were present.
