Jalandhar February 26 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for its achievements in academics, sports and extracurricular activities and college administration does not leave any stone unturned for the overall growth of its students and teachers. Keeping this intact, the Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration of the college organized inter college and intra college competition Synergy to provide a platform to its students to showcase their talents in various events like choreography, ad-mad show and general dance. The chief guest of the inauguration session was international hockey player S. Jagdeep Singh Gill. He was duly received by the Principal of the college along with Heads of different departments.
Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu gave a floral welcome to Mr.Gill. Principal Dr. Sandhu in his address informed that the program Synergy has been revived to give a platform to all the students of the region. He appreciated efforts of the organizing committee and added that these competitions enthuse confidence and bring out the best. Then competitive events like general dance and choreography were conducted. During the event intervals guest performances of solo dance and singing were performed by students and teachers of the college.

Then, Mr. Gill along with Principal Dr. Sandhu and senior staff members, honoured 11 NSS volunteers who led Punjab Tableau at Republic Day Parade 2026. In the evening session, Guest of honour IG Rajpal Singh Sandhu was welcomed by the worthy Principal Dr. Sandhu and senior staff members with a bouquet and a memento. He, in his address, reminisced about his stay in LKC and motivated the participants saying that these events are the perfect platform to showcase hidden talent and keep the legacy of Punjab forward. In the inter college group dance event, Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala, Doaba College Jalandhar and LKC Technical Campus won 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
While in the inter department group dance event, 1st position was bagged by the Dept.of Computer, 2nd by Depts. of Physiotherapy and Music and 3rd positions was grabbed by Depts. of Economics and Commerce. In the inter college Choreography event, KMV College, Jalandhar got 1st position and Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar and Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar were declared joint runner ups. In ad-mad inter college show Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala and Trinity College Jalandhar got 1st and 2nd positions respectively while in inter department ad mad show event Dept. of Commerce and Dept. of Computer science grabbed 1st and 2nd positions respectively.
In Jhoomer, Khalsa College Amritsar won 1st position, while in Gidha and Luddi Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar teams won 1st positions. At last, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu paid a vote of thanks and acknowledged the sincere efforts of all the teaching and non-teaching staff. The judges of the events were Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dr. Ravneet Kaur and Dr. Harjinder Kaur. The stage was managed by Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra.
