Jalandhar February 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Postgraduate Punjabi Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, a leading educational institution in North India that has created new steps in the field of education and culture, organized an interaction with renowned expatriate Punjabi writer S. Gurcharan Saggu. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu welcomed the guests and praised Mr. Saggu for his tremendous contribution to literature.

On this occasion, the new novel ‘Lajjo’ by S. Gurcharan Saggu was also unveiled. Later, Mr. Vishal, a famous Punjabi poet and editor of the literary magazine ‘Mantav’, while discussing his book, said that the creation of every writer arises from his inner turmoil. A writer first destroys himself to create something and his literary work is realized from that. S.Gurcharan Saggu shared his life, his literary journey and his bitter-sweet experiences of filmmaking in Mumbai and inspired the students that no matter how many troubles come in life, a person should never give up.

Head of the Department of Punjabi, Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon thanked the guests and said that it is a matter of pride for us to have a personality like Gurcharan Saggu in front of us. He added that his words and works will ast as a source of inspiration for the students. Prof. Sandeep Singh played the role of stage manager in the event in a poetic and literary style. At this time Dr. Harjit Singh, Dr. Jaswant Kaur, Ms. Manjit Kaur, Heads and professors of various departments, all the professors of the Punjabi department, and a large number of students were present.
