Lyallpur Khalsa College organises ‘IT-SPARK’ with unmatched zeal and enthusiasm

Jalandhar February 17 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In a remarkable effort to foster creativity, innovation, and competition among students, PG Department of Computer Science & IT of Lyallpur Khalsa College, kicked off ‘IT-SPARK’, an annual Intra-Departmental IT competition. The two-day event promises to ignite the spark of knowledge and creativity among students. The inauguration ceremony was graced by college Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, who was also the chief guest of the IT Spark event. As a symbolic gesture of goodwill and new beginnings, Dr. Rashpal Singh alongside Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of the Department, and other senior faculty members of the department performed the lamp lighting ceremony.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Rashpal Singh officially declared the event open, wishing the participants success and emphasizing the importance of such events in shaping the overall personality of students. He applauded the department for organizing this grand competition. Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of the Department, welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. Rashpal Singh, Principal, and all the faculty members and students. He emphasized the importance of IT Spark in the overall growth of the students and how it brings competitive spirit amongst the students.

During the event, the students will participate in 17 different competitions

During the event, the students will participate in 17 different competitions such as Think in slides, Brain wars, Toons Mania, Photo2Phrase, Tech Trivia, Mind Matrix, Sketch O Vision, Brain Bits, Shutter Spark, Key Rush, Remake IT, Digi Drama, Nano Shot, Tech Hunt, Tech Startup Pitch, Bug Plug and Sync & Spin. A total of 206 teams were registered for the different competitions and the event saw total enrolment of 381 participants, making IT Spark successful.

The event is being coordinated by Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia. The occasion was witnessed by the presence of Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr.Manpreet Singh Lehal, Prof. Ratnakar Mann, Prof Navneet Kaur, and the other staff members of the department. The stage was managed by Dr Daljit kaur.
