Jalandhar November 4 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- HMV family gathered to bid a heartfelt farewell Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen who is moving on to new endeavours. The farewell function was a grand celebration of Principal’s dedication, leadership and contribution to the institution. Dr. Sareen retired after 36 years of dedicated service in teaching and more than 9 years of committed service as Principal HMV. Dr. Ekta Khosla has assumed charge as the new Principal of HMV, marking a new chapter in the college’s legacy. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen’s tenure at HMV was described as illustrious during which the college achieved numerous milestones and recognitions.

The ceremony begins with a warm welcome address by Dr. Ekta Khosla highlighting the Principal’s achievements and impact on the institution. Faculty members, staff members shared their personal anecdotes, memories and appreciation for the Principal’s guidance and support. On this occasion mother of Dr. Sareen Smt. Nirmal Dhawan, Husband CA Sh. Ashok Sareen, Brother Mr. Puneet Dhawan and Mukesh, Bhabi Mrs. Meeru and Mrs. Bhawna, Son IAS Lakshit Sareen, daughter in law Dr. Pankhudi, Daughter Dr. Ishita, Son in law Mr. Sanjay were also present.

During the ceremony, several dignitaries including Sh. Arvind Ghai Secretary DAVCMC, Sh. Surendra Seth, Member LAC, MLA Sh. Bawa Henry, Sh. K.D. Bhandari, Sh. Chandan Grewal and Sh. Sushil Rinku felicitated Dr. Sareen for her invaluable contributions to the institution’s growth and her role in nurturing generations of students. Dr. Navroop Kaur, Dean Youth Welfare, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Dean MOU, Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Rakhi Mehta Dean Aesthetics, Mrs. Ramandeep, Incharge Sports, Dr. Urvashi, Dean Student Council, Mr. Ravi Maini Supdt. Admin. Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur, Staff Secretary shared their memories.

The dance department students added a cultural touch to the occasion with performances of classical and Punjabi folk dances. Dh. Gunjan Kapoor and his team presented Bollywood Guldasta in honour of Dr. Sareen. Citation and Silver Salver were presented to Dr. Sareen as a token of gratitude and respect for her outstanding service. In her address Dr. Sareen thanked the staff and students for her unwavering support and expressed her hopes for the continued success of the institution.
The farewell function concluded with a sense of appreciation for the Principal’s dedication and service. Dr. Saloni Sharma proposed vote of thanks. On this occasion Principal J.K.
