Jalandhar October 17 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Khalsa college Prof bagged Faculty Of Year Award Catering the need of society, Lyallpur Khalsa College is a premier institution of Northern India. PG Dept of Biotechnology of the college, which is founder dept in Punjab which started biotechnology since 2001. Based on reputed faculty and wide state of art infrastructure, LKC is the only college in Punjab which is offering MSC degree in Biotechnology under GNDU.
Under this umbrella, it is proud moment for the college that Dr Arun Dev Sharma, HOD Biotechnology cum Dean Research is awarded as “Faculty of Year Award 2025” by one of renowned agency London School of DIGITAL BUSINESS under International Educational Awards (LEAP) 2025.
Dr Sharma has made an impactful contribution in the area of Research and teaching
It is worth mentioning that Dr Arun Dev Sharma has been selected this award which is a testament of profound impact, innovative leadership, and significant contributions within the global education industry. Based on the excellent achievements in the area of biotechnology and societal contribution, this award was conferred. Dr Sharma has made an impactful contribution in the area of Research and teaching since last about 22 years. He has guided about 40 PG students in the area of biotechnology research. To his credit he has presented his research findings in various countries like USA, Italy, Poland, China.
Dr Sharma, highlighted that Govt of India is also emphasizing students to pursue carrier in research as the next industry revolution will be technology driven. Dr Sharma highlighted that, our college will be touching new milestone’s with working in the new areas of transformative research applied to society. With our advanced curriculum, research driven approach, we are confident that LKC will immerge as leaders in this transformative field.
Prof Navdeep Kaur, Vice Principal of the college, also extended warm welcome stating, “we are delighted to have such faculty international and national level repute”.. At this occasion, Prof Rashpal Singh, Dean Colleges, and Dr Harjeet Singh, HOD math’s also congratulated Dr Sharma.
