Chandigarh, October 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- A Workshop on “Tax Audit Report as an Intelligent Risk Analysis Tool” was organized on October 7 by the Office of the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Review Unit–1, Chandigarh, under the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (Mission Karmayogi).
The workshop aimed to enhance officers’ analytical capabilities in interpreting Tax Audit Reports and utilizing them as effective instruments for intelligent risk assessment and data-driven decision-making in tax administration.
The session was graced by Smt. Vidisha Kalra, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Panchkula & Shimla, as the Chief Guest. She shared valuable insights on the importance of adopting analytical and technology-enabled approaches in modern tax administration.
Smt. Komal Jogpal, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (OSD), Panchkula and Review Unit, welcomed the Chief Guest and highlighted the department’s continued commitment to knowledge sharing and professional development under Mission Karmayogi.
The workshop featured a technical session by Sh. Parikshit Aggarwal, Chartered Accountant, and an interactive discussion focusing on the practical use of Tax Audit Reports as tools for intelligent risk analysis, with active participation from officers and officials of Income Tax department.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a reaffirmation of the Department’s resolve to promote innovation, transparency, and analytical excellence in tax administration.
