Jalandhar August 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the District Police Administration, organized an awareness lecture under the Punjab Government’s campaign War Against Drugs. The keynote address was delivered by SHO Baradari Inspector Ravinder Kumar, alumnus of the Department of Geography, Lyallpur Khalsa College.
Welcoming the resource person, Principal Dr. Suman Chopra underlined the college’s longstanding commitment to social causes and its active contribution to the State Government’s anti-drug campaign through lectures, street plays, and awareness drives. She emphasized the urgent need to sensitize youth on the issue and called for collective responsibility in combating the drug menace.
Addressing the gathering, SHO Ravinder Kumar drew upon his professional experience to highlight the grave threat posed by drugs to society, particularly to the younger generation. He appealed to students to remain vigilant, spread awareness in their communities, and contribute towards building a drug-free Punjab. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof. Satpal Singh.
The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, who expressed solidarity with the State Government’s initiative. Lyallpur Khalsa College reaffirmed its resolve to continue working closely with the Punjab Government and District Police Administration in furthering the mission against drug abuse.
