Jalandhar July 17 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, marked the beginning of its new academic session with a spiritually enriching havan ceremony. The sacred ritual was held to invoke divine blessings for the new students and to ensure a prosperous and harmonious journey ahead. As the flames of the havan rose, teachers offered samidha into the holy fire, extending their heartfelt wishes for the students’ bright and successful future.
Principal Dr. NeerjaDhingra addressed the gathering and warmly welcomed the new students into the Apeejay family. She emphasized that the college’s continued success and excellence are rooted in the inspiration drawn from the visionary Founder Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul Ji, and the dynamic leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson of Apeejay Education, Apeejay Stya &Svran Group, and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, along with Dr. NehaBerlia, Lead – Education Vertical, Apeejay Education and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University.

She highlighted that nearly 70% of the faculty members possess doctorate degrees and bring over two decades of teaching experience, thus assuring students of a robust academic foundation.
Dr. Dhingra also emphasized the college’s commitment to holistic development, noting that students will have ample opportunities to participate in competitions across a wide spectrum—academics, sports, music, dance, fine arts, and applied arts—at district, state, national, and even international platforms.
The ceremony was further elevated by a soulful bhajan performance by TanishqArora from the Department of Music. Guided by Dr. Arun Mishra, the performance radiated devotion and serenity, with Shivam on harmonium and Sahil on tabla complementing the vocals beautifully. The spiritual ambiance was enriched as Dr. Dhingra and faculty members showered flowers upon the students, symbolizing blessings, love, and a warm welcome to college life.
