Jalandhar March 28 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The CV Raman Society of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, celebrated “National Science Day” under IIC (Institution’s Innovation Cell) to commemorate the invention of the “Raman Effect” by Indian physicist Dr. CV Raman. Students from B.Sc (Non-Med., Computer Science) participated in Poster Presentation and Model Demonstration.
The objective of the event was to build scientific temperament, innovation and creativity among students. Bhavika, Sandesh, Preeti, and Nisha ranked first, second and third in Model Demonstration. Ziya, Ritika and Jasleen were adjudged first, second, and third in the Poster Presentation Competition. In the end, Ms. Muskan Kalra from the Department of Chemistry gave a brief description of National Science Day and encouraged the students to participate more in such activities.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, the other honorable members of the managing committee, and the worthy Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar congratulated the students and praised the efforts of the Department of Science for organizing such events for the overall development of students.
